Forever Changed but He remains the Same
Over the past year, life has looked very different than I ever imagined.
There were moments when I wondered if I would make it through. Days filled with hospital rooms, multiple ventilators, unexpected diagnoses, and more questions than answers. There were battles with depression, anxiety, grief, and fears that often felt too heavy to carry. Plans changed. Dreams were interrupted. Life slowed down in ways I never expected.
Yet through every moment—whether surrounded by doctors and machines or sitting quietly in the unknown—one truth never changed:
God was there.
He never left. He never stopped being faithful. My circumstances changed, but His character never did. He is still God. He is still good. He is still worthy of my trust. And He has faithfully walked beside me through every valley.
This season has changed the way I see people. It has reminded me that every person is carrying a story we may never fully understand. Behind every smile may be a struggle. Behind every silence may be a battle. We were never called to simply exist alongside one another—we were called to love one another as Christ has loved us.
Why I started this blog.
Over the past year, God has taught me lessons I never would have learned any other way. He has met me in the darkest nights, reminded me of His promises when I struggled to believe them, and shown me that His presence is often most evident in our weakest moments. I don’t want to keep those lessons to myself. If my story can point even one person toward the hope, peace, and faithfulness of Jesus, then every difficult season has a greater purpose.
This blog is an invitation to slow down, reflect, and remember who God is in the middle of everyday life.
Each week, I want to share honest reflections about life, faith, Scripture, and the lessons God continues to teach me. Some weeks may be filled with joy and celebration. Others may wrestle with grief, waiting, disappointment, or questions. But through it all, my prayer is that these reflections always point back to Jesus—the One who meets us in both the mountaintops and the valleys.
I don’t write because I have all the answers. In fact, I’ve learned that some of the deepest growth comes from admitting we don’t. I write as someone who is still learning, still growing, still being refined, and still discovering the overwhelming grace of God in everyday moments.
If these words encourage someone to open their Bible again, to love a neighbor a little more intentionally, to extend grace instead of judgment, or simply to remember that they are not alone, then this blog has accomplished its purpose.
My hope is that this becomes more than a collection of thoughts. I hope it becomes a place where we can pursue authentic faith together—a reminder that following Jesus isn’t about pretending to have everything together. It’s about walking faithfully with the One who holds everything together.
I hope these reflections challenge us to love more deeply, forgive more freely, and see people the way Jesus sees them. My prayer is that we become known not merely for what we believe, but for how we love.
Thank you for being here. Whether you’re celebrating, grieving, questioning, healing, or simply searching for hope, I pray you find reminders of God’s faithfulness woven throughout these reflections.
Because no matter what this life brings, one truth remains:
God is still God. He is still good. He is still faithful. And His love is still changing lives—including mine.
